SHEAR7 2026 UGM

On March 10, 2026, AMOG Houston hosted our annual SHEAR7 JIP and User Group Meetings. The day saw SHEAR7 users from across the industry join the meeting, both in-person in Houston and remotely.

 

Participants from around the globe joined the UGM, from North America and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.

 

Technical presentations were given by Dr Hayden Marcollo, Craig Dillon-Gibbons, Wasy Akthar, Hemant Thurumella and Michael O’Connor from AMOG. The participants were also fortunate to be joined by some guest speakers that gave their own presentations on the day. These included Professor Kim Vandiver of MiT, the original inventor of SHEAR7; Dr Themistocles Resvanis, formerly part of Professor Vandiver’s research team at MiT and long-time contributor of SHEAR7; and Paul Bohan of Wood Group who performed gave a tutorial on how SHEAR7 can be implemented in a DeepRiser workflow.

 

It was a great opportunity to meet with SHEAR7 users and long-time associates of AMOG.
